Assassin’s Creed movie coming 2013 – report
Assassin’s Creed is getting the movie treatment and Michael Fassbender is in the frame, that much has been known for a while now. However, a new interview with Ubisoft’s chief sales and marketing officer Geoffroy Sardin suggests that the ‘fast tracked’ film is coming next year. Get your pinches of salt ready people.

Speaking with GI.Biz, Sardin said in relation to Assassin’s Creed 3′s transmedia empire, “Another thing that is very important for the lifecycle is the transmedia offer. All the figurines, the books, the publishing, and we have a movie in the next coming year. So it’s not only about games, we are talking about a global brand, and this is the life cycle management we want to set up now.”
Note the line about the film coming in the next year. Now, this could mean financial year 2013/14, or it could mean a 2013 release window for the flick. We do know that the movie is being fast tracked for release, so a release next year could be a possibility.
We’ve contacted Ubisoft for clarification.
What’s your take on a 2013 release for the film? Would you prefer more time to be spent on getting the film right, or can you not wait to see it? Let us know below.

This is never a good sign. Do they even have a proper writer/director attached to it?

Sure, just like all the other video game to move conversions. Halo, Uncharted, Need for Speed, Metal Gear, God of War, Gears of War, Bioshock, how many of these do you reckon will actually make it to shelves & even if they somehow do, will be a success?

@1 I don’t think so,that’s why I don’t believe it’s coming out next year, since that would basically mean that they need to both shoot the movie and release it in 2013.

If they do actually make a movie out of the series its only going to make the story look even more silly than it already is.

meeeeeeeh, no Movie based on a video game looked good to me, never, why not go with CGI ?!, like Resident Evil Damnation, now that was good a movie, and Degeneration before it, I just don’t like Hollywood movies that are adaptation from the games, and nope I didn’t like Prince of Persia one bit.

Fassbender should stay away from videogame movies, he is a talented actor in my opinion. But i guess its a nice fat pay day so who wouldnt do the same right?
