Final Fantasy 14 Online marks the "End of an Era"

It's both a sad and a glorious time for Final Fantasy 14 Online fans. The MMORPG has shuttered ahead of its relaunch as A Realm Reborn, with players returning to a world forever changed. Watch the transformation unfold in this marvellous new cinematic trailer.
Clocking in at nearly six minutes, the End of an Era trailer includes a large scale battle; an appearance by a Magitek tank; and an answer to the question "what is that huge glowy thing in the sky anyway?"
Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn is currently in closed alpha testing; it's launch day has not been confirmed but is tentatively expected before the end of the year.
