Disney reports lower loss through focus on mobile in lieu of console titles

Disney has announced it lost $216 million for the fiscal year ending September 29, compared to $308 million year-over-year. The firm reported less loss due to a renewed focus on mobile titles in lieu of console releases. The firm noted most gaming revenue was derived from Gardens of Time, Temple Run: Brave and Where's My Water. Disney said games created via its new IP, LucasFilms, would be in the social and mobile space, and any console titles released would come from third-parties developing through use of the license. The only console title Disney has in development is Epic Mickey 2, and Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion for handhelds. Thanks, Gamasutra.
