Mass Effect 3 Wii U to include Genesis comic

Bioware has revealed further details of how the Wii U version of Mass Effect 3 differs from previous releases.

In a post on the BioWare Blog, external producer Melanie Faulknor said the shooter RPG hybrid will be playable in its entirety streamed to the Game Pad, freeing up the TV.

The Wii U version, which is called the Special Edition, will include several DLC packs for both single- and multiplayer: From Ashes, the Extended Cut, the Rebellion, Resurgence and Earth multiplayer packs, and a bonus heavy weapon.

Uniquely, it will also include an updated version of Genesis, an interactive comic allowing players to make key plot choices to create a custom save file in lieue of importing from an earlier game. It's not clear how the comic has been updated since its release on other systems in support of Mass Effect 2.

Mass Effect 3: Special Edition is due on Wii U at the console's launch this month - November 18 in the US and November 30 in Europe and beyond.

Thanks, Polygon.
