Independent Games Festival 2013's Student Competition category has a received 300 entries 

Independent Games Festival 2013's Student Competition category has a received a record breaking number of entries for the second year in a row.

So far, 300 entries in the category were received across console, PC and mobile, bringing the total festival entries to 900.

Previous entries in the Student Showcase at IGF have produced titles such as DigiPen's Narbacular Drop, which eventually became Valve's Portal. DigiPen's 2013 entry, the 2D platformer Perspective, and the horror title Nevermind are just two titles up for consideration. Winners will be revealed in January, and awards will be handed out during GDC 2013 in March.

The Misadventures Of P.B. Winterbottom, and Cloud were also entries during previous years.
