EA Sports donates $500,000 of in-game ad space to Movember charity

Moustaches at the ready, EA Sports has pledged $500,000 worth of in-game ad space to the Movember charity, which encourages people to either grow a moustache – or wear a fake one – for the whole month of November.

Kotaku.Au reports that the move will see in-game adverts in titles like FIFA 13, Madden 13 and NHL 13 littered with Movember adverts. It would have been funny if the publisher decided to give every player in every game a tache as well, but we’re pretty sure there are legal problems in there.

Still, if you want to put your facial hair growing power to a good cause, you can sign up for Movember yourself, right here.

would have been funny if they gave it to a charity that actually had some good cause ^^

uh, Movember helps raise money and awareness for mens health issues, so, pretty good cause, & fitting for professional sports games.
