Grand Theft Auto 5 second trailer pushed back by Hurricane Sandy
Grand Theft Auto 5 is clearly primed for a media blitz, what with a confirmed release window and loads of retail leaks, but where’s the expected second trailer? According to Rockstar, a planned trailer has been delayed by fallout from Hurricane Sandy. “Its hard to be precise as we have no power whatsoever in our New York office,” the publisher noted in a comment on its blog.
Thanks, StrategyInformer.

Rockstar North is developing the game and from what i understand Rockstar NYC takes care of trailers and promotion and all that jazz. But Adriaan on the GTAV.net forums is teasing something again, and usually when he does that, something big is up.
He clearly has inside knowledge of all things GTA V.

Speaking as someone who’s lost power because of Hurricane Sandy, hope you folks at Rockstar Games aren’t in the dark much longer, was really looking forward to seeing more of GTA V. I eagerly await seeing the new trailer.

I was fortunate enough to live in an area of Brooklyn that did not lose power and internet during Sandy, but I know some people who were completely fucked by the storm. As for where Rockstar’s offices are, that’s right in an area of Manhattan that won’t have electricity until, at least, Saturday, according to the news.

It won’t just be that their offices over there don’t have power, it’ll be that NYC is one of the main media cities of the world, so they want the place chucking along for when they release another trailer and then they can get the most exposure.
