Nintendo offering real gold coins to Mario Bros millionaires
The German arm of Nintendo is offering to fork out real gold coins worth over €220 to commemorate the brave collection skills of New Super Mario Bros 2 fans. My hazy understanding of this auto-translated press release suggests you need to send in a photo of your 3DS screen proving you’ve hit 1 million coins to collect on the offer. The competition seems to be only open to German residents, and was supposed to end on October 31, but has been extended through December.
Thanks, GoNintendo.

@brenna There’s only 1 gold coin that is awarded to the person who can get the most coins till December, if more than 1 player gets up to 10^7-1 coins (max. possible coin count) the winner will be decided by lot.
The other contest (over 1mil coins) is another sweepstake with different prices.
