Longtime Japanese development studio Treasure is currently working on a 3DS exclusive title.

The dev, whose credits include such hits as Ikaruga, Gunstar Heroes, and Sin and Punishment, told gamesTM (via NintendoLife) that it is “making a new game on Nintendo 3DS now. Not multiplatform, but exclusive to 3DS.”

Details on the game are still scarce, but Treasure boss Masato Maegawa hinted at it being an action title, for what it’s worth.

I think we will see a lot more JPN support behind 3DS and WiiU going forward. Not that the platforms have lacked from support, just thinking that in the next few years JPN may well turn to its own market more and more.

Both sin and Punishments were great games, especially the wii game, i will love more games on that style.
