Assassin’s Creed 3: Sandy closes midnight launches, street date broken
With Hurricane Sandy bearing down I’d expect you to have other matters on your mind, but on the off chance, be advised, via Kotaku, that midnight launches for Assassin’s Creed 3 have been cancelled in areas likely to be affected by Hurricane Sandy. Call ahead if you’re unsure whether your local store is staying open, and if you really must get hold of a game you’ll be unable to play when the electricity goes out, Kotaku also notes that some vendors have broken street date in compensation for the cancelled launches. (Also, Kotaku’s inaccessible from my desk right now; let’s blame Sandy for that, too.) Stay safe, friends.

Well Ubisoft may take great pleasure in taking a collective dump on PC gamers, but at least I don’t even have to leave my mom’s basement on launch day.
