Obviously a few peeps got the itch for Blops 2 & figured MoH for a stop-gap…

That’s probably the reason why reviewers didn’t get a review copy, so people can just go buy MoH:WF instead of changing their opinions later.

@2 there’s no ‘probably’ about it in my opinion.

I will never understand why MMS sell so well. Its like pop music, its crap (imho) but everyone listens to it.

Or maybe those people just didn’t listen to the reviews and found out how nice the game actually is. I am baffled by the negative reviews. The campaign does nothing new BUT its a blast and it contains enough variety and the shooting feels awesome.

The multiplayer is awesome too and aside from a few bugs a very solid shooter. I honestly do not get the reviews and i am really glad i just ignored them and bought the game.

@5 they probably did to be fair, I think many people bought it for the BF4 beta.

Complete garbage wins out. I saw the crap this game pulls, so I wouldn’t even touch a demo of it.

Kinda shoddy in my opinion. Admittedly, I haven’t played the story yet and I normally don’t in war-shooters, I tend to find if you’ve played one you’ve played them all.

The MP is what would keep me playing and that is essentially what I will be playing the most. And it’s OK but nothing amazing. So many silly little lazy bugs in the game.

Some of the guns are invisible on spawn, if you scope in you don’t get a scoped view – just a slight magnification of the screen, constantly getting stuck in the environment, getting stuck in a fireteam with a player that has actually left the game and you can only spawn on their frozen character at the start of the map and not the actual fireteam member it shows when waiting for a respawn, invisible walls that magically stop bullets…

Not to mention the god awful menu system. I’ve never seen such an arse-backwards menu where changing a weapon is such a pain in the arse. No details on the weapons such as semi-automatic fire or automatic fire. No info on how or when you will unlock certain upgrades.

Overall, based on the MP the game is playable and it can be fun but I just have no idea what they were thinking when they designed some of this game. I’m hoping to get the 99p trade in deal for BLOPS2.

Well it’s is really sad to see that the top 2 games of this week are games published by crappy EA.That’s why they don’t care about innovation in games anymore.I know i can live without EA and Activison. These Evil bastards know how to sell games and i know something similar is going to happen with black ops 2.It’s sad to see where this industry is going:(

^ it’s not really EA’s fault people buy their games… blame your fellow gamer for lapping up every single military FPS that releases.

@10 & 11

Yeah, EA didn’t put a gun to the head of every person who bought the game to force them into it. They just shoved a lot of guns, Linkin Park and trailers in front of their heads instead. The marketing worked.

It never fails! ;)

Exactly. Instead of hating on EA, you should be looking at all the people that continue to buy these games.

They wouldn’t keep pushing these out if they didn’t sell, it’s supply and demand, and can you blame a company for giving the public what they want?.

Yeah, another win for aggressive marketing. The game itself, I found, is kinda shitty. Post 9 (viral) pretty much nailed it. I’m just glad to see Dishonored still in the top 5, my GOTY so far.

@10: Don’t snap at the names, if it’s the actions that you find to be at fault.

@12 I have never bought an EA product and always try to convince my friends to not to buy their games.I think they are a big company and can afford to spend a lot of money on promoting. They were really clever by not sending review codes early coz they knew it will get bad reviews and then people wont’t buy this crap. These games being on top spot proves one more thing that there are a lot of people who buy games before knowing anything about them.

@17 that’s a shame, you’ve missed out on a lot of genuinely good games.

@5 – Totally agree. Graphics are awesome, so is sound, SP was just what was expected and I’ve been hearing good things about the MP on YouTube. Don’t get why BF3 scores 90 and this 50. Doesn’t make sense at all (I do prefer BF3 though (at least MP)).

@5 – Likewise. I stopped paying attention to “website reviews” a long time ago, especially when those same reviewers continually score CoD high, when it’s as bland, repetitive and lacking innovation as they criticise MoHW for.

CoD: MW is still one of the best military FPS campaign experiences I remember, but MW2 was just god awful (probably the worst I’ve ever played), BO was average, as was MW3. In fact, most of the harsh comments I’ve read about MoHW could be easily applied to the last few CoDs.

As long as all these game reviewers show continuity and the same harsh judgement should BO2 be another cut-and-paste job then fair enough.

I enjoyed MoHW, although it has its faults, but I never once saw any bug or framerate drop – it was fine from start to finish. A bit too America, but that’s to be expected. MP is good so far – it’s no BF3, but fun. Map design is a bit hit-and-miss though. Not the consistency of CoD or BF in that respect.

maybe you guys should play the game. It’s decent ,and multiplayer is good, does some things better than bf3.

It really is a shame that low-grade copycat garbage like this MoH sells at all, let alone enough to top the charts. This rubbish sullies the good name of classics like MoH:AA.

Still, highest selling game in the individual format charts was the rather awesome Forza Horizon, so it isn’t all bad news.

don’t first week sales include pre-orders? Second week is the real test.

Dishonored is a great game. Glad it’s still up there.
Forza Horizon looks good. Might have to pick that up this week.

It’s a shame XCOM dropped so quickly too, but good that charted fairly well and didn’t sink immediately.
