Steam for Linux now taking beta applicants

Steam is coming for you, Linux users, and you can help speed or ease its transition by signing up to help beta test the digital distribution client. Valve is now taking applications, but requests “experienced Linux users” first where possible. Only one game is known to be compatible with the new client so far – Left 4 Dead – so it probably helps if you like shooting zombies right in their ugly faces, too.

Thanks, Joystiq.

Nice! Competition is very good. Thank you Gabe for doing the right thing most of the time. Most of the guys as rich as you have stopped trying or haven’t tried even once to change the world into a better place.

P.S. I’m sorry for my bad grammar.
