MechWarrior Online beta rescheduled for this week

Mechwarrior Online’s open beta will kick off on October 29. The free-to-play mech combat sim was expected to throw open its doors in mid-October, but was delayed after closed beta testers raised concerns regarding the game’s basic stability and balance. Plenty of patches in the interim have probably resolved some of those issues, but early reports suggest MechWarrior Online is a tricky game to learn. That hasn’t stopped fans spending $5 million on it already, despite an expected full launch in 2013.
