Capcom is aware of redemption issues with bonus DLC for the Vita version of Street Fighter x Tekken.
Those who picked up the portable fighter expected to receive a number of bonuses via DLC – 12 new characters featured as DLC in the console versions; 38 alternate costumes for the original roster; and for those who pre-ordered, a further 12 costumes for the new characters.
Thanks to some kind of error, the code bundled with all new copies of the game unlocks only one portion of this content – the pre-order bonus costumes for the 12 additional characters, which is particularly galling since, well, the characters aren’t there to make use of them.
A post on Capcom Unity makes it clear the missing content is not deliberate and that a fix is on the way:
“We apologize for the inconvenience. We’re aware of the issues with DLC codes and we’re working with Sony to make sure everything gets fixed. Please hang tight a little longer and rest assured you will get your DL goods.”
Capcom has had a string of negative experiences with DLC in recent months; the console versions of Street Fighter x Tekken were found to have all DLC content on-disc, raising such a scandal that the publisher said it would re-evaluate its policies in this regard. Resident Evil 6 also shipped with additional on-disc content, which was later revealed to be free once completed via title update
