Silent Hill: Downpour Xbox 360 patched, PS3 version inbound

Konami has issued a patch for the Xbox 360 version of Silent Hill: Downpour, with a PlayStation 3 version in the works.

The title update reportedly corrects issues with the save system, squashes bugs in the Homeless questline, improves the frame rate and adds a number of other unspecified performance tweaks.

The PlayStation 3 version will also be patched, with no ETA beyond the "coming weeks".

Downpour released in March this year to underwhelming response; perhaps this patch will justify a second play through for franchise fans disappointed by its initial offering.

If you're yet to pick up Downpour, it's on its way to Xbox Live Games on Demand; it hits on October 30, just in time for Halloween, for $40.
