PlanetSide 2 aimbot hackers: SOE issues banhammer warning
PlanetSide 2 beta play is currently ongoing, and developer Sony Online Entertainment has issued a warning shot to aimbot hackers, threatening a banhammer attack if the nonsense doesn’t stop.

PCGames N reports that PlanetSide 2 has been hit by aimbot hackers, and that the developer is keen to put an end to it.
Speaking with the site, SOE’s senior public relations manager Taina Rodriguez said, “We are aware of the issue. SOE takes player use of in-game cheats very seriously. Players who use cheats ruin the gameplay experience for the entire community and SOE will continue to be extremely aggressive in detecting and banning players who use cheats.”
Has anyone here played PlanetSide 2? Have you seen evidence of aimbots? Let us know below.

Can’t say i’ve experienced any aimbotters in the game yet. But then again, it is a pretty damn big map you’re playing on x)

Well, since this game is F2P I don’t see why hackers will hesitate to create a new account if they get banned!

They could ban the IP, maybe, not sure.

They could just ban them and send me an invite. I applied for beta weeks ago. A decent anti-cheat software is always good.
@3: Banning an IP is the stupidest thing ever. Might as well ban all people using ISPs with dynamic IPs, like myself.
