It’s just them testing multiplayer and killing each other… The game looks amazing and I hope we can build our own ships.

Still not sure what to make of this one.
There are elements of it that genuinely worry me. One, for example, is that Notch has changed the focus on this a few times. Another is that he might actually be thinking of charging a subscription for this, whiiiich… I can’t see taking off. Another is that despite the size of Mojang, they still can’t manage half-decent looking graphics.
There are small devs out there, devs smaller than Mojang. Here’s an example: As of now, the Trine developer (Frozenbyte) is smaller than Mojang and has less employees. But compare and contrast. Trine is an incredibly lovely game, but 0x10c still looks worse than most N64 titles (barring perhaps Superman 64).
Okay, sure, they might not have many artists working for them. But it would hardly break the bank for Notch to hire some.
So I just find this a tiny bit cynical.
We’ll see!
