For moment I thought it was some kind of industrial/punk setting a la Dishonored LOL.

The head looks sort of disjointed from the neck to me.
And yeah, more colour would have been better. By far.

Tomb Raider, now with added indoor rain.

Looking at the branded packshot impression images on tr.com, I can’t help but think that it may have trouble with visibility on shelves, from a practicality standpoint. For a visual opinion, I think the thing is that they’re trying to convey too much. It’s very busy.

@7 She isn’t exactly indoors, mate.. >.> I guess you haven’t seen many sea caves, huh.
@2 You are right, it does, it looks really odd…Colour-wise, it’s actually what I was expecting, a grim b&w rendering.

It’s quite cool actually if you ask me. Finally something different than just Lara staring at the camera, basically. This boxart shows what the game’s about…survival. A wounded Lara, a bow to survive and the wild nature basically, nice!

The actual cover has a big splash of the Tomb Raider logo, how’s that for visibility? I think this is a great cover. It’s grimm, it’s dark, it’s what the game is all about!

I really like the cover, it is so atmospheric.

Well, it’s certainly more original than a character walking, perfectly centre screen, towards the camera.
There’s far too much bright space on the left hand side, which contrasts way too strongly with the rest of the image in my opinion, but the art itself is amazing.

Terrible cover. CD managed to destroy everything cool about visual style of the franchise at this point.
It’s as bad as the new Bond and Batman combined.

Perfect opportunity for a wet vest, nipple shot… But noooo! Disappointed
