It’s still a really good game even today, and probably three times as long as your standard shooter. You also have 2 expansion and the two original DOOM’s, at half retail price of todays games, so if you like shooters, get this.

Greedy?? for £20 its a great deal, you get the first two classics, and the 3rd and its expansion. All remastered to have better crisper sound, upscaled graphics, true 64-bit support something the PC version was lacking. Also a lot of the stuff has been retextured to make it look better.

It was meant to have been ported over to the RAGE ID TECH 5 engine but obviously they did not have enough time.

I have picked this up off STEAM and its great value and still lives up even today. I can not wait for Doom 4 now :)

I bought it for £13 on Steam. And I’m pretty happy with that price tag; especially as it has 3 games plus the Doom 3 expansions, and some new content too. The enhanced visuals, controls, sound, and better resolution support is great. Also, for some reason I’m finding it scarier than the original (Maybe I’ve become more of a pussy with age :P).
