Kentucky Route Zero, the indie adventure game from Cardboard Computer, has a new video available which shows off its lovely, surreal atmosphere.
The game takes place in the cave system which runs through the Bluegrass State, home of beautiful horses and fast women, and the various people which travel its underground highways.
Conway, the game’s hero will meet all sorts during the game, one such individual is a robotic country singer named Junebug, trapped in an abandoned restaurant. Players will also explore a Civil War era battleship inhabited by cats. Sounds strange, but lovely.
The soundtrack is just as interesting. The original score was created by Ben Babbitt and bluegrass standards and old hymns will be included, courtesy of The Bedquilt Ramblers.
Kentucky Route Zero will be released in five chapters, the first of which releases in December. You can find out more on the game through its fully funded Kickstarter page.
