iPad Mini invites roll out for October 23 event
Apple has sent out invites to what is being pegged as the iPad mini event in San Jose on October 23. The invite teases: “We’ve got a little more to show you.”
The reveal of a smaller iPad has been rumored for some time, and VentureBeat expects Apple to also show the 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro at same event.
iPad mini is rumored to spot a 7.85-inch screen and pundits expect it to run somewhere around the $250 to $300 mark.

@1, a Touch is much smaller than 7.85 inches.

I was making a joke, but of course that kind of thing is undetectable in text, so I forgive you. it just seems like when people say the iPad is just like a big iPod touch, making a smaller one seems like the wrong way to go with it.
