When will the demo come? No time to listen to it now.

Hasn’t been dated. Just pre-launch. It’s out in Europe in January.

Didn’t you already have the chance to play it, Pat? How is it? I know Dave really likes it.

I haven’t played it. I watched a demo of it in Germany last year, and I didn’t do the Capcom event at gamescom this year, so I didn’t see it. Dave loves it though, yeah. The demo I saw looked fantastic. I’m no Devil May Cry expert, though.

@5

I actually got to spend an extended bit of time covering it for the website that I write for just recently.

It really is pretty fucking brilliant in my own personal opinion.

I really have to agree with Dave. I can’t stand Zombies in videogames anymore. It’s just so boring. Zombies are the new Nazis, the new Terrorists. It’s shit.

The only game that gets a pass is The Walking Dead.

I think it’s funny how the market is flooded with Zombie games and yet none of them seem to get it right. Killing Zombies shouldn’t be the main selling point about these games.

A mix between Dead Island, GTA IV, The Walking Dead and XCOM would be nice. With a lot of attention to the story and the characters, so you might actually care about what’s happening. Where your decisions have a huge impact on peoples lives. For example: save the asshole so he can help you protect the camp, or help the nice kid, but don’t get any benefits. You also would have to look out for resources, food, fuel, etc.

Man, that would be awesome. But it seems no developer really sits down and decides to make ZOMBIE game. It’s always some kind of addon, never really fleshed out, always there to be kind of funny.

@9:

Nice one. I especially like the closing comment.

“and if after extended play, people still think it has no business adorning itself with the franchise’s moniker, then they have bigger things to worry about, like say, spending their time attempting to surgically remove their cranium from their rectum.”

I’m torn on DMC. I had it pre-ordered, then cancelled, then pre-ordered again…

@15: What, why? :D

I dunno, if it’s the usual “Go to room, room is arbitrarily locked until you kill monsters who absorb stupid amounts of damage, rinse repeat” then I’m out. If there’s a decent story, and there’s a way to take monsters down fast through skill, then I’m back in again.

@17: i hear you…i still love DmC though. i just like the gameplay (though i am not that skilled in this genre), but DmC is over the top crazy action and in it´s stupidness really stylish and just great. those games offer a lot of replay value too. for me DmC is a day one purchase. reminded me that i have to preorder as well.
