Metro 2033 half price on Xbox Live, one week only

Metro 2033, the grim post-apocalyptic shooter from 4A Games is going half price on Xbox Live for one week only starting October 16th. The game’s sequel, Metro: Last Light is out in 2013, and is looking rather tasty.

Starting tomorrow, Metro 2033 will cost just £5.49 via Xbox Live. Here’s an official blurb from publisher THQ:

Based on the novel of the same name by acclaimed Russian author Dmitry Glukhovsky and set in the shattered subway of a post-apocalyptic Moscow, Metro 2033 is a story of intense underground survival in which the fate of mankind rests in the player’s hands.

Here’s a trailer:

The game is founded on a brilliant premise and handles well, although it falls short of greatness on a few counts. Still, it’s new, interesting and the sequel is shaping up wonderfully. Check it out if you have some spare pennies.

Why is it that only shitty games get discounts like that?
