Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth Wii U includes non-motion control scheme

Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth won’t necessarily require you to leap about your living room flailing with a motion controller.

According to Polygon‘s report on a New York Comic Con panel, the Wii U version of the game will include a Game Pad touch screen only control system.

The more traditional control scheme was touted as perfect for a second player; it’s unfortunately not clear whether this mode will be available in single-player mode.

In general, the fighter will be controllers with a WiiMote and Nunchuk; the Xbox 360 version is a Kinect exclusive.

Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth arrives on Kinect on November 9 and hits Wii U during the console’s launch window.
