Halo 4 – Microsoft “working closely with security teams, law enforcement” over supposed leaks

Friday, 12th October 2012 19:48 GMT By Stephany Nunneley

Halo 4 appears to have leaked a bit early, and those who nabbed early copies of the game have been posting supposed gameplay videos online and shots of their discs on Reddit.

A Microsoft spokesperson told Examiner: “We have seen the reports of Halo 4 content being propped on the Web and are working closely with our security teams and law enforcement to address the situation.”

Whether the videos and disc shots being posted online are review copies or pirated copies is unknown.

Still, it’s not really surprising, is it? Everything leaks.

Halo 4 launches on November 6 exclusively for Xbox 360.

Had it gone gold? Or is this piratebay fodder?

Pics look legit… Although wouldn’t review copies have ‘not for resale’ on them?

My girlfriend occasionally gets review copies and they always have that stamped all over…

    Anyways, roll on November 6th!!!

@1 Yeah it went gold during gamescom or EGExpo I can’t remember. The thing is, the cases don’t have covers on them, according to everything I read in those links – so it’s possible they were ripped from the factory or like some are assuming are review copies. Don’t really know for sure.

Thanks for the update! :) everything gets ‘leaked’ these days,

I’m surprised the 720 and PS4 hardware isn’t available to buy on the deep web! :)

I’ll wait, love me some Halo!

I did hardly play the Halo games, but I can’t remember them being so…. so… seemingly naked female body centric. O.o

I know, I know. Picture was chosen to attract most clicks, new developer knowing its audience tries to keep it since it is a new developer. Still looks somewhat cheap. Oh my god! Or is it me getting older and growing up?
