LOL. thats why the sales is soo bullshit, you want an actual figure of what xbox 360 has sold to date, divide it by 3. That’s great hardware for you isn’t it.

You talk about about xbox 360 having a better gpu yet the best 5 looking games this gen are all on ps3, or even top 10!!

And ass for the blu ray player, i have no faults with it and the movies i watch on it is so clear and great! And as for online, i never had to complain about lag! in the end what matters is the exclusives and xbox 360 fails big time. All u got to do is look at the direction theyve gone from a few years ago. They repeat the same bullshit and do a 360 back to where they started, 0, shit, nothing. i enjoyed almost every ps3 exclusive but there is nothing like halo on the ps3. mario galaxy and skyward sword are in the same league for being true timeless classic videogames, but while i enjoyed the UC and resistance games. i´d still say ms won in the exclusives department. why? the gears and halo sales compared to the UC or KZ sales prove them right.

i am having no hate for the ps3. i had a psone and 2 as well, but this gen the wii and the 360 have been the winners for sure (if you really wanna do that consolewars stuff – thought that´s so 5 years ago)

ms did a lot of stuff right, better pad, better system structure, better online, better interface, better marketplace and so on….you are right. everything sony had to offer was more exclusives, i don´t think that´s enough though. competiton got tougher. sony kinda underestimated things. i am really curious about what they´ll come up with for ps4. right now i really see them being the weakest of the big 3. they are in the most uncomfortable situation.

If you really think sales make a game great or not, then you are completely wrong. Ps3 beats 360 and wii hands down on exclusives. There is sameness is 360 exclusives that I would say wii ones share too. But not ps3 ones. KZ3, Resistance, GOW, Infamous, LBP, Heavy Rain, UC,MGS4, GT5 and many more. Variety and quality of ps3 exclusives is unmatched, with them having the best rated first party dev this gen. And its a must have for a japanese gaming fan.Best japanese games are on it.
And also for single player games. Most 360 exclusives deform into an empty shell if you take out the multiplayer. Ps3 beats everything else convincingly there.

About sales, lets compare how much is spent on a halo than say a KZ, much more. It needs more sales for the same profit. Most ps3 exclusives are in 2-3 million range or more, which isnt bad at all.
Also if sales is mentioned, then I posted something earlier. Read it.
And about wii and 3ds, I own none. But I played the best of wii on my friends console, and I was glad not to buy it as motion control sucks (move and kinect sucks too, but kinect is an awesome tech). Ps3 is the only home console still receiving awesome amounts of japanese support. And I owned a japanese ds just to play japanese games, but seeing ninty region locking again, I wont buy 3ds for a long time.
Wii pales in comparison to ps3 in terms of j-games.

PS2 – 100 million is six years.
PS3 – 65 million in six years.

Personally I believe all 3 main console makers will have healthy shares of the market. It won’t really matter who has the *lead* at the beginning, as it seems to even out as the cycle continues.

Of course if Apple or Valve release a console… Well that would shake up the status quo.

PS1 entered an established market, having zero fan base (let alone mental followers) and zero experience.

PS2 success was built upon it’s predecessor, customer trust and a dozen of other marketing related things.

PS3.. well, obv. :/

@58, sales means shit. valkyria chronicles is better than any xbox 360 exclusive and it barely sold. The same with demon souls. The only reason why halo and gears sells is because theres barely other exclusives on it worth playing, and they pour so much money in to marketing the shit out of it and less time releasing great exclusives!

And as for halo, im sorry i played halo 3 and found a decline from the first 2 games on xbox 360. the uncharted series, Gow 3, mgs4, kz2, demon souls, valkyria chronicles, these are all better than halo and gears. But then you also have so much more other exclusives and variety thats missing on xbox 360. So in my view xbox 360 is a big failure of a hardcore gaming console. If you took away party chat and xbox arcade it’s worth nothing.

@ 67, It’s dying!! Use your brains for once in your life. Common sense here. Ps3 sales have dropped in 6 years from ps2 era because there’s already an established 3rd console competing! Imagine if there was no xbox 360, or if xbox 360 was released a few years after ps3 launch.. think about all those millions of parents who have no idea what xbox 360 does differently to a ps3, and that they purchased one because it’s much cheaper than a ps3.. If a console will become obsolete in the future, it will be xbox 360, because they don’t know want console exclusives mean. Like i said it’s because of the xbox 360 sony will be forced to sell ps4 as cheap as it can, to gain market share off xbox 360.
