Star Trek Online veterans rewarded with shiny new ships

Star Trek Online developer, Cryptic Studios, has announced it's to honour those Captains that have been with its MMO since the beginning, by bestowing free stuff upon them. Boldly go through the break for details.

Cryptic Studios is to reward those players that will today reach the 1000-day mark in its sci-fi MMO, Star Trek Online.

In a developer blog post featured on publisher Perfect World's website, PWE_Branflakes wrote:

"Since Star Trek Online launched in February 2010, we have thanked our loyal subscribers and lifetime members through the Veteran’s Rewards program. We know you have many options in choosing where to spend your time, so it means so much to us that you choose to spend it here."

The rewards for reaching this landmark come in the form of a new prototype heavy destroyer: the Chimera Heavy Destroyer for those aligned with Starfleet or a Peghqu' Heavy Destroyer for those sided with the Klingon faction.

A new in-game title and additional Starship slot is also offered.

Head through to the developer blog post to pore over the tech specs of these new beasts of space.

Thanks, Massively
