Rayman Legends misses Wii U launch, slips to 2013

Rayman Legends has been delayed to 2013, meaning it will miss Wii U launch day.

MCV reports that a Ubisoft spokesperson simply stated, “Rayman Legends will launch worldwide in the first quarter of 2013.”

“We’re happy that fans are excited about the game, and we are taking the time to make sure we deliver a game that lives up to and hopefully exceeds their expectations. We’ll have more details to share soon.”

What about you? Were you hoping to get Ubisoft’s delightful platformer at launch? Let us know below.

Wow, that is the most sensible and logical step I’ve seen from Ubisoft regarding the Rayman franchise in a long time. They released previous Rayman game in the same crowded Q4 along with their Assassins game. At least now this game MIGHT have a chance if released during a less crowded time. Also, still the 2nd most important Wii U game for me after Bayonetta 2.

Wow… This… sucks. I only now realize that this was the launch game I looked forward to the most.

@2 Same here. Was one that definitively shows off the asynchronous gaming, too.

And so now instead of releasing in a crowded Q4, it’ll be released in an increasing crowded Early 2013. That’s swell.

Not going up against a Mario title in the same vein is probably a good idea too.

i also do think it´s clever…still sucks though. i planned to get the nintendoland bundle, mario u and this at launch. still a bit sceptical about zombiu…

might just pick up rayman origins for the 360. it´s really cheap now. played it only on the vita. also nice on the big screen. played the demo again a few days ago.
