3DS XL Circle Pad Pro hits Japan in mid-November

The #DS XL version of the Circle Pad Pro – which adds a second analog stick to Nintendo’s latest portable – will began retailing in Japan on November 15. Siliconera spotted the date on Nintendo Japan’s website, where the peripheral is priced at Â¥1,500. No word yet on western launch but with Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate debuting in early March, you can probably hazard a small wager on its eventual appearance.

i have 40+ds and 3ds games and i never ever missed a second circle pad for any of those games. glad that they make one for the xl because some seem to really demand it but i really start hating the attitude of most western gamers. for many a second stick is so important they even think (and are not ashamed to scream that out loud as much as they can) the 3ds isn´t a real gaming device because it lacks a second stick. this attitude is such a joke. probably the same type that embraces gears of war but doesn´t like vanquish, the one that feels mature playing cod but thinks skyward sword is “just a kids game”. the marketing brainwashed self crowned hardcore crowd that is anything but that…

#1 – I agree. Resident Evil Revelations is easy to control without a second circle pad…

A massive flaw to not include the second ‘circle pad’ in the design. I still remember people defending the choice -_-
Those people really don’t understand it’s necessity in 3D games to move with free camera control, without it you’re either stuck using complicated control setups (like moving with left stick & camera change with D-pad or vice versa- either way both are stupid) or uncontrollable cameras that were a huge irritation back in the early 3D game days.
