Skyrim’s Hearthfire DLC now available on Steam

Thursday, 4th October 2012 20:37 GMT By Stephany Nunneley

Skyrim’s Hearthfire DLC can now be purchased on Steam for $4.99. Hearthfire is the DLC which allows you to build your own home, use new crafting tools such as the drafting table and carpenter’s workbench and you can even start adopting children.

Bethesda said as soon as information is available for Skyrim add-on content, it will notify the pubic on its blog. We’re assuming this means the PS3 version of the DLC.

Well according to them, it is “that hard”, and they’re even working with Sony to get it sorted out (if possible). There isn’t a lot they can do if it doesn’t work, because the limitations were set when they started developing for PS3.

Still, seeing as how I’m also a Playstation gamer, I would enjoy it if they ever got this stuff sorted out. I try and play the game but it continually freezes on me to this day.

Hopefully all of this doesn’t leave a bad taste in Bethesda’s mouth when considering platforms for future games :/
