Marvel Heroes beta registrations now open

Marvel Heroes is now accepting closed beta applications. The superhero MMO basically does what you’d expect, throwing all of Marvels biggest names into one big world and letting them tear into villains. Dibs on Hulk!

You can register to become a closed beta tester over at the official Marvel Heroes beta site, and check out an open letter from developer Gazillion’s director of community and customer support Stephen Reid.

Reid explained that not everyone who applies will get into the closed beta, and must first fill out an online survey before successfully being accepted. Reid also stressed that his is a pure test, and that the beta will finish on unfinished code.

“Notice I did say ‘testing’ and not ‘play a demo’ or ‘play the game early’,” Reid said, “When we say ‘Closed Beta’ it means that you’re testing unfinished software. Marvel Heroes is still in active development, and everyone who applies for Closed Beta should realize, quite simply, that it’s not done.”

“We hope you’ll enjoy playing, but we also hope you’ll help us make the game even better with great constructive feedback and dedicated testing. Taking part in a Closed Beta can sometimes be more like work than play – but it’s a unique chance to see a game taking shape, and to get an insight into development.”
