Xbox Live offer birthday rewards
Xbox Live Gold subscribers with a Gamerscore of more than 3,000 points will now receive rewards during their birthday month.
Players with a Gamerscore of between 3,000 and 10,000 will receive a “special gift” during their birthday month. Over 10,000 will receive the gift and a 1 percent rebate on Marketplace purchases every month. And over 25,000 will receive the gift as well as a 2 percent rebate on Marketplace purchases every month, according to Kotaku.
This is all part of the MyAchievement program that new to Xbox Live, with more details available here.

i got 19thousandsomething so i am close to becoming a champion…2% discount then and a birthday gift. wohooo. loving it. NOT. 1 or 2 % is a joke. it is kind of embarassing really. just leave it be. would be better than this half assed stuff. i am loving the nintendo stars though. just received a cool mario bowser peach yoshi luigi etc. figurine in a very nice “? block” box 3 weeks ago. that´s stuff i like…so if there will be halo shirts or artwork books for my birthday then that´d be great, but it looks like i will get some more discounts for birthday for xbla titles, themes or whatnot which i already have or do not want. just wait n see…but 1% is such a joke. i feel like donald duck talking to my uncle…the outcome is always a rip off, or a blinder.

Strange that the green colour, which is the xbox colour by definition, is not the colour for the legend, they went with red i think red should be for champion and green for legend.
And topic related, i grant this is steps in the right direction with the achivements, nice things indeed.
