PSP Comic Store set to close

SCEA announced that the Comic Store for PSP on the PS Store is set to close on 30 October and that content will not be purchasable after this date.

Additional titles and the app itself will not be available for download after 30 October but currently owned comics will still be available up until mid-January, reports engadget.

PS Vita will offer a manga store and reader in October, but this is limited to Japan and there is no word as yet when, or if, anything will be available for other countries or for PSP users.

The Comic Store launched with 500 titles in December, 2009 and was originally expected to shutter in September.
