PS Vita & PS3 bundle could be possible before 2013, says Sony
PS Vita and PS3 could be sold in a bundle deal before Christmas, Sony UK head Fergal Gara has suggested to CVG.

In an interview with CVG, Gara was posed a question about the possibility of a combo bundle with both consoles included hitting retail before Christmas. He replied, “We’d have nothing against that whatsoever, and it’s not out of the question that we would do that this Christmas if we wanted to.”
“We put together packages for retail,” he added, “and there’s no reason why we shouldn’t create a ‘Vita plus PS3′ bundle, which could feature games that use cross-play, as well as include a PlayStation Plus subscription that both devices could use.”
Gara said that such a bundle would underline the connectivity between both devices.
What about you? Is this something you would buy? Let us know below.

Well quite. The strength and reality of the Wii-U is very different to the strength and reality of the PS3/Vita combo. Both perfectly valid.

Plenty of cheap/free stuff out there too. Not sure on US prices but Everybodies Golf is very cheap digitally here (about £12). Plus stuff like MotorstormRC, Sound Shapes are good value (especially as you get the PS3 versions included). Free stuff like Ecolibrium, Frobisher Says, Treasure Park are good for a try too.

But thats the whole point of why it’s a stupid venture.
Of course, a few gamers on this site like the idea of hooking up all your tech, but the average ‘joe blogs’ just wants shit to work…
It’s like Android over IOS…
Android offers more functions, but nothing is standerised. Hence why shit always works better on IOS.
Nintendo games will ALWAYS have certain tablet features.
PS3 and Vita will have some, but not others… It’s too slap dash to make any sense on a mass market level.
Oh well, keep dreaming SDF. I thought most of you hated the idea of a tablet controller for gaming anyway.
Now Sony suggests this wacky business idea, suddenly you all love it…
Funny stuff…

@53, I’m Australian- our dollar is currently above parity with the USD, the average Vita game on PSN is $55 but can get much higher, Fifa 13 $80 for example.

It can be looked at as either stupid or genius. I find it a little of both. It’s stupid because it will cost alot, but it’s genius because they will give you more than you normally would. I, personally, am looking forward to getting PlayStation All-Stars and Sly on both PS3 and Vita. I’m excited to see how the two systems will work together. One thing the PS3/Vita will have over Wii U is the power to take the game where ever you want with Cross-Save. And by using Cross-Buy, you get two games for the price of one.
