Doom 4 appears on Steam content database

Doom 4 has appeared on Steam’s content database, as part of both test and community listings.

PCGamesN reported that Doom 4 had appeared on the Steam content database.

The discovery was made by dataminers who discovered the listing. You can check out the database entry here.

id really need to make a good game again at some point. They’ve been floundering since Quake 3.

I am more excited for Prey 2. Never such a big fan of Doom, more of Wolfenstein. Actually we need RtCW HD with id Tech 5 and the awesome MP.

id tech 5 didn’t impress me one bit. The only thing that looked good in Rage was the big wasteland environment you drive around, but the second you were on your feet everything was just blurry as shit and had zero interactivity or life.

The last good id games were made by Raven.

id never made any good games, they made tech demos of good engines at a time people were gullible enough.

@2 Couldn’t agree more. Doom 1,2 and original Quake trilogy were superb. Quake 4 wasn’t too bad but id didn’t make it. I’d much rather see Prey 2 than the Doom 4 made by creators or Rage and Doom 3.
