Borderlands 3 already being planned, says lead writer – Report

I hoped they would waited for next gen because even second game look very similar to first.
Still amazing game non the less.
Also they will do shit lot of DLC first.

Well they started work on 2 soon after the first shipped, so I don’t think it’s a surprise they are already thinking about a third. Will still probably be 3 years away at this point tho.

Who said anything about a year from now? They are only brainstorming ideas of what it could be, where to take it, that sort of thing. I’m sure we won’t see Borderlands 3 for at LEAST 2 years, if not more.

It was more speculation. Every other big franchise seems to be getting yearly updates. With the success of BL2, it wouldn’t Suprise me to see another one next year

This game isnt going to come out for atleast 2 years the way Gearbox is this will go on the back-burner and get concepted, written and the like while they turn the brunt of the studio onto the the next game out the door, Is that the Aliens game or the Furious Four game?

Even if you only count the extremely successful franchises, it still isn’t all.

@8 I believe they have different teams for this. The bulk of Borderlands 2′s team will be on DLC duty at least a year (The last DLC is said to release in sumer 2013). The next full game release form Gearbox is however Aliens: CM.

I lost interest at the start of the first one.

What an idiot this Burch, I mean its no surprise, because on the Gearbox Forums they already asked what we want in the next game. But talking in his videos about videogame stuff, but story didn’t rocked in BL2. Nice.

I don’t understand why devs do this! Even if they are thinking of the sequel keep you trap shut because it makes people wonder if they should even buy the latest one or just wait for the next.

I’m not sure I would tbh. If it wasn’t for the Gunzerker class I would have stopped playing. It’s seriously monotonous in SP.

There’s plenty of room for improvement with Borderlands 2, and if they’ve proved anything just now, it’s that they know how to improve on their darlings.

I think that’s pretty encouraging. Hopefully Borderlands 3 will have less filler and more thriller.

to everyone who said borderlands wasnt all that great, and was a so so shooter, you are alone on that one. . All i can say is this : 2012 VGA, best shooter award goes to borderlands 2. Best multiplayer award goes to Borderlands 2. Best male character award goes to Borderlands 2 for handsome jack. Character of the year award goes to borderlands 2 for Claptrap. Idk what else to say. The people have spoken. And Borderlands goes on to sweep the VGAs.

To be honest i can’t wait for the third game to come out. the storyline is great and the way they ended the second one has me in antisipation for how they plan to continue the story. what new characters are goin to be created. the graphics for the second game were great. if you didnt like the games DONT PLAY THEM!!! plain and simple…I really hope there will be a third game and cant wait for it to come out.
