Project X Zone combat system supports 100-hit combos

Project X Zone is a tactical RPG, but its complex combat system relies heavily on timing.

We don't know much about the game yet beyond its presentation of a massive cast of characters, but Siliconera reports players select a pair of characters to be the main team, a single character as a solo fighter, and finally, a support member.

The combat seems to have an almost fighter-like approach. Players can perform cancels and call in support characters to maintain combos. With good timing, combos of over 99 hits can be performed, with all five characters attacking at once.

Capcom, Namco Bandai and Sega collaboration Project X Zone arrives in Japan in October, but Namco Bandai may bring the 3DS exclusive west. Check out the TGS trailer.
