New Halo 4 details unleash the Flood
Do you remember those pesky vermin from the Halo franchise? Well, they’re set for a return. Halo development director Frank O’Connor has confirmed the Flood will make an appearance in Halo 4′s multiplayer section.

Thankfully, this means you won’t have to fight them through The Library. Missions start off with 10 players, two of which are infected and extremely hungry. The eight remaining players must stop the disease spreading in order to succeed.
343 Industries has also revealed two new vehicles for the upcoming shooter. Players can expect to be shunted around in the Mammoth troop carrier, and also spend time in a mech suit built for destruction.
Halo 4 is set for release on November 6.

There was an Infection mode in Halo 3 and Reach already. Top fun, especially the Reach version.

@1: Infection has been in since Halo 2 I believe, when the sword was in multiplayer. I’d definitely argue its been around longer than COD. The fact that the models are now flood is moot.
