Xbox Live connectivity issues hit Time Warner subs

Xbox Live has been flaky as a genuine Parisian croissant this past weekend - but only for those using Time Warner's ISP services.

In a fairly baffling outage - which Kotaku reports is now in its second day - some gamers who use Time Warner as their Internet service provider have been unable to connect to Xbox Live.

Microsoft is aware of the problem, which is said to affect a "subset" of users in multiple states; it's not clear if the outage applies to specific services, like ADSL or cable, or just a random selection of users.

"If you're having issues connecting to Xbox LIVE and are using the Time Warner ISP, thank you for being patient and sticking with us while we work out the problem. Rest assured we are still working hard alongside Time Warner to fix it as quickly as we can. We will continue to update you as new information becomes available," the latest service update reads.
