UK Charts: Borderlands 2 shoots its way to the top

Borderlands 2 has blasted its way to the top of the UK charts, knocking Sleeping Dogs off its long-held pedestal.

Gearbox Software’s RPG shooter only just came out on Friday and thanks to a strong launch has entered into the official UK charts at number one. It knocks United Front’s Sleeping Dogs off the top down to fourth after a three week reign.

    Bortherlands 2 is a worthy game but one that could have been so much more. I wish they had done more with the formula and made a more radical sequel but at least they addressed 90 percent of issues with the first one which is really nice.

    Borderlands 2 is one of those games where you start playing, then you look at the time and you go “3 HOURS! NO WAY!”, at least for me anyway.

    Yeah, there’s stuff that could be better, but I enjoyed the fuck out of BL1 and there was tons that could have been better in that, and most of it was better in BL2.

    That’s my point. They’ve addressed most of BL1′s problems and made it a fantastic experience but at the same time, haven’t really expanded or experimented with the formula more than the original. The “FPS Diablo” is really something. BL1 found it. BL2 polished it. Hopefully BL3 can and will expand it.
