Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX trailer shows off polishing efforts

Kingdom Hearts has aged fairly well, but this trailer for the upcoming HD collection shows that a bit of an upgrade works better than rose-tinted nostalgia specs.

Announced at the Tokyo Game Show, Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX includes all three games released prior to Kingdom Hearts 2 – so the PS2 original, plus portable titles Chain of Memories and 358/2 Days. It’s exp[ected to launch on PlayStation 3 in Japan in 2013, but we can probably count on it coming west, too.

Didn’t 358/2 days come out in 2009, whereas Kingdom Hearts 2 came out from between 2005-2006, depending on territory?

The collection contains all the games that take place before 2 story wise (minus BBS) but I imagine that will be part of a future KH-HD 2.5 (KH 2, BBS, Coded and DDD).

They do yep, but the story says that they were ‘released’ before 2; which they weren’t sadly :(

The Chain of Memories is the PS2 remake of the GBA game and 358/2 Days isn’t playable, only the cutscenes in HD are available in theater mode.
