Dragon Quest X Wii U is the same as the Wii version, no extras

Dragon Quest X is heading to Wii U, but the MMO will not be receiving any new features over the Wii build, Square-Enix has confirmed.

Nintendo World Report has stated that Dragon Quest X on Wii U can be played entirely using the console’s GamePad controller, and while some ‘moderate’ improvements will be made to the game’s visuals, as well as HD support, the actual game content will remain unchanged.

The report also confirmed that servers will be shared across both the Wii and Wii U versions of the game, and save data can be transferred between both formats.

No release date has been given for Dragon Quest X in any region, but we’ll have more on the game as it happens.
