Relic recruiting hints at future F2P plans

Relic is looking to add a few more staffers to its roll call, and seems to have dropped an incidental hint as to the studio's future as part of its recruiting process.

As noted by GiantBomb, the Company of Heroes developer is currently recruiting for an executive producer, creative director, and senior designer.

According to the job description, the executive producer role "is the creative and business visionary, as well as, the ambassador for Relic’s Free-to-Play (FTP) products, ensuring long term critical and commercial success. The Executive Producer is responsible for growing and bringing successful products to market that deliver on the long term Studio goals".

Well, well, well. Relic has dabbled in free-to-play before, with Company of Heroes Online. The MMO RTS launched in Asia in 2009 and arrived in the west in late 2010, but was closed down in early 2011 while still in beta.

Relic's most recent titles are Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine and the upcoming Company of Heroes 2.
