Fantasy Life trailer escapes TGS, is Animal Crossing meets RPGs

Fantasy Life was unveiled for Nintendo 3DS by Level-5 at TGS last night. It's an incredibly charming take on the RPG, blending Animal Crossing's home-building and customisation, with classic RPG quests and battles. Get the trailer and more details below.

The game is out in Japan on December 27th and sees players performing jobs under the tutelage of various masters. Go Nintendo reports that there is one named town so far called Kuruburuku, although it's unclear if there is more than one town to reside in throughout the game.

The report also lists a few available professions you can take in town including carpenter, seamstress, blacksmith, chef and Alchemist. Each job gives you a chance to create items and weapons that can be used while you're off travelling the colourful world in search of adventure.

Mashing up Animal Cross and RPGs is a genius idea, and we'll have more on Fantasy Life as it happens. Fingers crossed for a Western release.
