Soul Sacrifice, Keiji Inafune’s dark PS Vita title has been delayed. The developer took to the stage during TGS to announce the slip, but kept the angry mobs at bay with a superb new trailer. Watch it below.

Inafune confirmed that Soul Sacrifice is now delayed until Spring 2013.

Thanks Destructoid.

That looks fucking incredible. WTF Sony? This should be much MUCH more advertised and hyped. This is WHY Vita is failing.

Instead of focusing on original AND exclusive Vita games like this, they are focusing on crappy ports like Black Ops Vita.

@ The Red: This has been given a LOT of attention a few months ago (when it was announced). It got E3 and GamesCom press conference trailers etc… I think Sony is giving this the attention it deserves. It’s just that Western gamers only seem to care about those Black Ops Ports and ACIII spin-offs and don’t seem to read these posts because they don’t know the name Soul Sacrifice…

    Looks great!

I still can’t shake the feeling i’d rather play this on my PS3 & TV when i see games like this on Vita though…

I think, that was the main problem for me after playing Uncharted Vita.

Looks fantastic, but just not suited to the small screen.

“because they don’t know the name Soul Sacrifice”

That’s why I think Sony isn’t doing enough. AC wasn’t a known name back when it was announced. Ubisoft did a hell of a job of marketing it properly and extensively.
SS got some exposure but Sony didn’t expand on that and even then it had some buzz only among the niche super hardcore. Both SS and Tearaway are the games that can make Vita success, NOT the BO port or ACIII spin-off. That’s why Sony should advertise for them like they are the next big Uncharted and Killzone.

@4 I would say it’s the must advertised game in psvita it got 6 page in the biggest japan magazine it got a whole conference and it present in E3,Gamescom and TGS 2012.
Killzone was not well advertised because it was announced before nearly 2 years we didn’t hear about the game after that until Gamescom.

Really starting to be happy that i purchased a Vita. There are quite some nice games coming out. I hope that we’ll see a significant sales increase of the handheld as well.

    Really pumped for this.
Although it needs established franchises to take off like MH etc. imho. Power of familiarity as they say.
