PS3 Super Slim: official console photos, see them here

PS3 Super Slim has just been dated for the UK, along with a batch of eight official photos of the console. It was revealed at TGS last night, and in case you missed it, check out Brenna’s ace event coverage here, and gaze at the product shots below.

They should really rethink the usage of “Super”.

@1: I don’t quite understand, what you mean. The second Version of the original PS3 (The one from 2008, I think with the DualShock3) has two USB-ports, the PS3 Slim has two USB ports and this Super Slim PS3 also has two USB ports.

Ah, I thought for some reason the slim had a USB port on the back.

Original had 5 USB ports I think, like 360 does now (2 front, 3 rear).

You might have a point if MS hadn’t produced a smaller, cheaper 360 hardware revision with MORE ports, including extra USB ports.

I’m not a big fan of having functionality stripped from my consoles.

From what I know, nothing is removed hardware wise. Its cheaper to produce because of using cheaper components, as it happens in all hardware revisions everywhere.
