Obsidian’s mysterious teaser site updated
Obsidian has updated its mysterious teaser site with more esoteric tales of… whatever it’s trying to hint at.

“This world wants to drag us down, it does. It made you a Watcher. No one asks for that. And the weight, that guilt they want to hang around my neck, you don’t have to carry it one more step. You think they won’t let you rest, but it’s not up to them. It never was.”
The source code has also been updated with T . X X I T Y, with the following line of text: “There is no sleep for the Watcher.”
If you look at the image, you’ll note it has ticked over to one.
Read Tuesday’s clues here. Dungeon Siege 4 is still the biggest guess at the moment.

@1 Explain why you think that please?

If it has a uroboros or ouroboros, it will have something to do with Egypt mythology, Nordic mythology with Jormugand or the ancient Greece, and in the anime front fullmetal alchemist, i hope for a new fullmetal alchemist by the way, close to brotherhood, but the watcher thing is not for that mythos, so my bet, Egypt, Greece or Nordic Mythology, perhaps an RPG on Asgard
p.s and they say watching anime is a waste of time

@3 It may very well be Jormungand, which goes to Norse mythology. That I’d welcome :d

I’m betting Wheel of Time, and the watcher is the Amyrlin of the Aes Sedai.

Er, no. It is highly likely that this is going to be their Kickstarter, for their own game with an original IP. They have a Kickstarter company profile now.
It is unlikely that it is DS4, Fallout 4, Wheel of Time or similar, since the announcements of new games in that series would come from the publishers, not a development company. Wheel of Time is especially unlikely since the company that has the rights to games in that settings tried to do a Kickstarter for a mobile phone game, but it failed. They don’t have the money to hire Obsidian to do a big game, and if Obsidian are going to take the risk of self-publishing something, they would probably do something of their own so they have full creative control, right?
They have also said clearly that this is NOT one of their previous codeword projects that have been cancelled. So it is not the Aliens RPG or the next-gen console dark-fantasy game bankrolled by Microsoft stuff being resurrected. That also speaks against Wheel of Time.
They have however hinted in blogs that they would like to do a “spiritual sequel” to Planescape:Torment. I.e. not something that uses Sigil, The Nameless One or the D&D ruleset (since those things are other companies properties), but which tries to tell a involved and mature story in a different fantasy setting.
