Apple is expected to unveil iPhone 5 at the ‘It’s almost here’ event tonight in San Francisco tonight. Expect a furore of excited, speculative iPhone news emerging around the web from 6pm tonight.

Apple sent out invites to the press a while back. They looked like this:

Note the ’5′ at the bottom, leading everyone to believe that Apple’s Tim Cook will lift the lid on iPhone 5 tonight.

iPad Mini is also rumoured, and we reported on a supposed photo leak yesterday. Check out the shots here.

I’ll be watching just for fun, even though I have no desire to own an overpriced Apple product.

I’d never dare own an Apple product but I can appreciate how they push new tech into the commercial market. I’ll be following this but don’t expect to be blown away.
