Keiji Inafune makes short play action platformer

Keiji Inafune's new game J.J. Rocket is a side-scroller action game that sees you as the mutant blasting President of the USA.

Missions are short three minute sessions including the mutant boss battles, Siliconera has reported. Currently available on Android it's free-to-play but registry requires a Mobage account. It will also be released for iOS from Marvelous AQL.

Inafune is best known for Mega Man, his work on Dead Rising and Onimusha as well as his graphic design skills on Street Fighter.

Leaving Capcom at the end of 2010 he has since launched Comcept, Intecept and DiNG. He is currently working on Soul Sacrifice for PlayStation Vita and Kaio: King of Pirates for 3DS.

It's not clear yet if this new mobile title is the "surprise" Inafune has promised for TGS.
