European Nintendo Direct conference to be held Thursday, September 13

Tuesday, 11th September 2012 13:44 GMT By Stephany Nunneley

Nintendo Europe will host a Nintendo Direct Wii U Preview conference at 3.00pm this Thursday, September 13 alongside the Nintendo press event in NYC.

Nintendo of Europe president Satoru Shibata will host.

The US event will be hosted by NOA president Reggie Fils-Aime, and the firm is poised to reveal “more about how the Wii U will change the future of gaming and entertainment.”

It’s more than likely the world will finally become privy to a Wii U release date and price on September 13, so keep your eyes peeled.

Thanks, Nintendo Life.

I’m not even interested in getting one, there’s zero reason for me. But it’s really quite ridiculous how there’s still no releasedate and simply too little information out. We still don’t know the full specs either, wtf? Correct me if i’m wrong but when MS announced the 360 at CeS years ago and during E3, didn’t they give a concrete releasedate and spec info?

The fact they are bothering with a European conference at all suggests we should still get it this year. Which is good.

I wonder if they are gonna come with some surprises. Their launch line up is solid i guess, but that’s about it. Too many games we already have for almost a year now (Batman) and ME3 early this year, and Darksiders 2 last month. Some people are speculating that they are going to surprise announce GTA V for it, that its the reason that the game still doesn’t have platforms. But i highly doubt that.

People always expect surprises but they rarely appear. Wishful thinking more like I think.

Indeed. Santa needs to have been informed that mine has arrived before Christmas, or else the stocking space allocated for WiiU games is going to be appropriated for useless things like clothes and chocolate!

    Shit, yeah…

    Very bad timing.

Iphone 5 and Mini Ipad will dominate this months tech news.

Wii U could actually be an after thought for a lot of gadget sites, sad but true.

Except ram, nothing is well above the current specs.
The amazing thing is that , if next gen rumors are true, all 3 hardware manufacturers will use AMD gpu, which is a bit baffling. Nvidia is missing a lot of revenue if its true.

    Specs are over rated anyways.

Most of my fav all time games are on old systems that couldn’t pass the mustard against todays powerhouses. Those games were fun then and they are fun now.

    WiiU will be fine.

Hell todays systems are fine. It isn’t the hardware that disapoints me, but the software.

USB hard drive? Now that would be fantastic as long as it supported games and downloads, but USB 2.0? It really needs to be 3.0 surely?

It could be a good way for them to save money on including one, yet allowing the customer to add any hard drive they have lying around.

But yeah, USB 3.0 should be standerd by now.
